Digs & Gigs is a concept for non-profit Low-Income, Micro-Entrepreneurial Neighborhoods. The concept of Digs and Gigs resembles food cart pods, except instead of food trailers, there are highly attractive tiny mobile structures and adjacent groomed space where aspiring entrepreneurs both live and work for a specified period. Residents live at a highly affordable rate, and gain support and mentoring through a defined curriculum and cadre of skilled mentors.
The concept has been in the brainstorming phase since 2000 and entered the launch phase in the third quarter of 2023 which involves assembling an advisory board to develop and registered non-profit entity and establish execution tasks and timelines.
If all goes well, we anticipate the first (of many) Digs & Gigs installations to open its doors sometime between 2026-2028.
The first Digs & Gigs installation is planned for Sisters, Oregon!
The Digs & Gigs concept fills an important place in society. The backbone of America is built on the small businessperson and the barriers to entry are many. With good fortune, Digs & Gigs will become a national movement with installations sprinklered across our Country.
The concept was developed by Shannon Thorson, a long-term entrepreneur who has been hanging around Sisters for several years and just recently made the permanent move. She sits on the newly formed Sister's Country Economic Development Board and is eager to see Digs & Gigs serve Sisters. Once a board is established in the fourth quarter

Once a board is established in the fourth quarter of 2023, they will be the "who" and this page will offer those updates.
